RIB Tour and Match Race from Marstrand to Stenungsund
Join us on a fast-paced and memorable day where RIB tour and match race go hand in hand! Start with an adrenaline-filled RIB boat from Marstrand to Stenungsund, where the real competition begins. Once in Stenungsund you will have the opportunity to sail in our classic DS37 Match Race boats, which have been used during prestigious competitions such as the Swedish Match Cup at Marstrand. You will compete against each other in intense matches, where each team gets to sail at least twice.
The match race is set up on a course with start, cross and line buoys. The first match determines whether you advance to the A or B final, which provides extra excitement and challenge. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sailor, all it takes is a little competitive spirit and teamwork to make it to the top.
Example of layout:
09:00: Meeting and briefing in Marstrand – prepare for a fast-paced RIB tour and sailing.
09:15: Departure by RIB boat towards Stenungsund – enjoy the exciting trip through the archipelago.
09:45: Arrival at Stenungsund – sailing briefing and start of the competition.
12:00: Awards ceremony on the pier – winning teams receive medals and bubbles.
12:30: Departure by RIB boat back to Marstrand – a last fast-paced trip through the coast.
1:00 PM: Arrival in Marstrand – end of a fantastic and competitive day.
Sail in Iconic DS37 Match Race Boats Sail in the legendary DS37 Match Race boats, designed for intense competition and used in the prestigious Swedish Match Cup. Each boat can accommodate up to six people and an experienced skipper ensures you have a safe and professional experience on the water.
Prizes and Rewards: After the match race, the winners receive medals and a bottle of bubbly on the dock – a perfect end to a day filled with competitive spirit and community.
Practical Information: For safety reasons, the event will be cancelled if the wind speed exceeds 10 m/s at no cost to participants. We provide rain jackets and sailing gear so that you can sail comfortably and safely, regardless of the weather conditions. You can also add coffee and snacks during the break before the finals to get extra energy.
